ahh cny seems like a time for taking care.

all your relatives tell you to take care. and to take care of your grandmother/brothers. which i'm pretty shure i'm not very capable of doing. its too extreme. one nags a lot and the other doesnt care for rules at all.

and then you must take care not to eat too much. which i forgot about doing. i think i'm going back to school with a potbelly.

you must also take care not to eat too little or your relatives might feel insulted. like their food isnt good enough for you or something. i dont think that happens very often x)

you have to take care not to look inside your hongbao before your relatives are gone/ you leave your relatives' house. it comes across to them as rude. and greedy. and moneyface. but my grandmother says you must look at it secretly so that you know the amount to put inside the hongbao you're giving them so that they don't lose too much money. desperate situations call for desperate measures. my bro hid his under his shirt and took a peek in the toilet. loser -.-

and you must take care not to do anything too late. because cny is the time when there are long queues everywhere. like this afternoon on one of the highways. wow there was such a huge jam. good thing we were going in the opposite direction. hehe take care not to buy anything too late either. mrs tan/ms ang was frantically searching for bedsheets. hehe x)

take care to stand up straight for once :D instead of slouching. your relatives will be all: wow how tall you've grown when i last came here you were such a small child. and you can just stand around and grin at them :D whatever none of my relatives are very tall can x)

yeap. cny's been all about eating so far. it always has been.
